"A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life"

Mindfulness is a practice that enhances our capacity to live in the present moment with increased ease and less judgement. Research  in neuroscience indicates that mindfulness positively impacts brain patterns linked to stress, helping to soothe and ‘switch off’ the stress mechanism. It also enhances our capacity for resilience, creativity, connection and decision-making.

Typically, we all live day-to-day on intermittent ‘auto-pilot’ and as 'mental time travellers' - frequently spend time dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. With practice, mindfulness helps us shift mental ‘gears’ into the present moment with a sense of curiosity and kindness. We are then in a position to become less reactive and more responsive, to make clearer decisions and to enhance our emotional wellbeing and capacity to thrive.
